Interview Before You Go

While on school break you can take a holiday to tourist hotspots throughout Europe. We also give you the chance to interview your potential future employer where you get to put your best foot forward to impress them. We ensure that you are fully prepared, guiding you through the entire process and ensuring you’re best prepared!
When you decide to return home from teaching overseas and you re-enter the job market, having actually taught overseas will dramatically set you apart from your peers and competitors. Almost all of them will boast similar academic records and work experience. But virtually none of them will boast the sort of international professional or personal experience that teaching overseas will provide you.

In the UK schools are rated 1-4 by Ofsted reports to understand how a school is faring in comparison to other schools. Ofsted stand for The Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills and is a non-ministerial department of the UK government, reporting to Parliament. The department inspects all schools at least once every three years. After the inspection, Ofsted publishes a public report that contains information on the school’s performance, its pupils’ work, observation reports on lessons and views from staff, parents and pupils.
The report makes judgements on:
- achievements and standards
- pupils’ development and wellbeing
- the quality of teaching and learning
- how the curriculum is taught
- the care, guidance and support the school provides
- how well the school is led and managed
Judgements are scored on a four-point scale:
- one – outstanding
- two – good
- three – satisfactory
- four – inadequate

“Teachers wanting to go global should definitely go straight to Point to Point Education. The service has been simply flawless. I scored an interview at a “Good” rated school pretty much as soon as I contacted them. Hats off to Carly and the team! They are definitely in the know about the visa process needed for overseas teachers to gain experience in the UK. I can’t thank my consultant enough for the reassurance and support EVERY step of the way. I arrived in the UK two days ago and I already feel like I know my new colleagues like I’ve been teaching with them for years and Point to Point Education has already been in contact! The support continues! Still pinching myself. I can’t believe this is real. A dream come true. If the thought of teaching overseas has even crossed your mind, give Point to Point a call just for a chat. You won’t regret it!”
